From understanding problems through design, to building the solutions through development.
"Design taught me how to see a problem and imagine the solution. Development taught me how to build that solution into something real. Everything after that first switch has just been proof of the same idea: I don't stop at the sketch. I ship the product."
A walk through the phases that shaped my builder mindset.
It started at IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay. Design school didn't teach me to make things pretty, it taught me to see problems clearly before touching a solution. Every brief was really the same question in disguise: what is actually broken here, and what does 'fixed' look like?
I took that lens into the real world 3D modeling educational content at Yozu, shaping brand identity at Vkonex for an academic conference, crafting campaigns at Eazy Diner. Different mediums, same muscle: understand the audience, understand the constraint, design the solution. But somewhere in this stretch, a new question started nagging at me: I can design the idea, but can I build it?
That question became a decision. At Hebifi, I stopped stopping at the mockup. I built the e-commerce platform myself, the mobile app myself, even a game in Unity, just to see if I could take an idea all the way from concept to something a person could actually touch and use. Alongside it, I stacked up the fundamentals, treating each course like another tool in the belt. The shift wasn't abandoning design. It was refusing to stop at it.
At D'Katia, the stakes got real. Leading a full platform migration, wiring in AI tooling, shipping UX improvements on a live product used by actual customers. This is where 'I can build it' turned into 'I can be trusted to build it.'
And then I started building my own things, end to end. Cheli, a full checklist-and-marketplace product built solo; Gridlabs, three organizations shipped clean and fast; Cubix ERP, an entire inventory and order-management system built from the ground up.
